- 21 Apr 2008—New Exercise Cycle Begins for Tennessee Homeland Security-
The next round of exercises for the Tennessee Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program is underway. Early scheduling has been completed, with one exercise date confirmed. Scheduling for planning and conduct of other exercises continues and details will be posted on the calendar on this site as this information becomes available.
- 8 May 2007—District 6 Completes Exercise Cycle
Homeland Security District 6 conducted their FSE on April 24, 2007. This exercise was the final in the current TNHSEP exercise cycle. The FSE included participation by a wide range of disciplines, including Fire, Law Enforcement, EMS, HazMat and Decon teams, Public Safety Communications, TEMA and local EMAs, Amateur Radio, Health, Hospitals and Agriculture. The District continues to move ahead with many planned improvements over the next several months.
- 9 Apr 2007—District 3 Conducts Full-Scale Exercise
Homeland Security District 3 recently completed their FSE, completing this exercise cycle for the TN-HSEP project. The District's exercise included three simultaneous scenarios at three locations, in addition to hospital participation throughout the region. District representatives have expressed confidence that the exercise not only validated the considerable effort put into coordination between the various Fire and Law Enforcement agencies, but improved working relationships and provided information for further refinements. Congratulations to the D-3 Exercise Planning Team for an outstanding effort!
